ABOUT THE ROLE

The Marketing Coordinator plays a critical role at 1AX supporting our Digital and SEO specialists in the technical execution, optimization, and performance management of hospitality digital marketing programs.

This role is ideal for someone early in their digital marketing career who is highly organized, detail-oriented, and excited to learn across paid media, email marketing, and SEO. The Marketing Coordinator will help execute campaigns, prepare reporting, manage assets, and ensure projects move smoothly across teams.

This position is execution-focused and collaborative, with mentorship and growth opportunities into channel-specific specialist roles.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Paid Media Support (40%)

  • Assist with Google Ads and Meta campaign setup (audiences, creative uploads, extensions, budgets)

  • Support creative swaps, seasonal updates, and ad copy uploads

  • Monitor pacing and flag spend discrepancies to Specialists

  • Pull performance data for reporting and dashboards

  • Upload retargeting and email audiences into ad platforms

  • Support keyword research and search term reviews

SEO Support (35%)

  • Implement SEO meta-data, alt tags, and minor copy updates in CMS platforms

  • Provide insights for blog posts and landing page content

  • Assist with Google Business Profile and third-party listing updates (Google, Yelp, TripAdvisor, etc.)

  • Conduct basic keyword research and competitor scans

  • Flag website issues or errors to Specialists

Email Marketing Support (15%)

  • QA email campaigns in platforms such as Revinate or Mailchimp

  • Segment lists and upload audiences under Specialist direction

  • Conduct quality assurance checks (links, personalization, formatting)

  • Assist with A/B test setup and basic performance tracking

  • Maintain campaign calendars and documentation

Reporting & Team Coordination (10%)

  • Update Looker Studio dashboards and performance trackers

  • Compile monthly performance data for client reports

  • Maintain organized folders for creative assets and campaign documentation

  • Support internal task management in Asana

  • Assist with ad-hoc client and internal requests

ABOUT YOU

The ideal candidate meets the following criteria 

  • 1–2 years of experience or internship experience in digital marketing, advertising, communications, or related field

  • Basic familiarity with Google Analytics, Google Ads, Meta Ads Manager, or email marketing platforms

  • Comfortable working in CMS platforms (WordPress, Squarespace, Webflow, etc.)

  • Proficient in Google Suite and comfortable working in spreadsheets

  • Strong organizational skills and exceptional attention to detail

  • Eager to learn paid media, SEO, and email marketing best practices

  • Love of emerging trends (AI, TikTok, etc) 

  • Comfortable with the nuances of a small business, like changing priorities and creative problem-solving

DETAILS

  • Competitive salary & bonus structure.

  • Salary range: $25-$28/hour

  • The role is a fully remote, full-time position. San Francisco is preferred, but not required.

  • Travel may be required up to 15% of the time.
